Luxury Sales in Denver Doing Better!

Denver-area luxury home sales rise – The greater Denver luxury home market continues to rebound as March sales figures increased over the previous month and over the same month last year.  Thirty-six single-family homes, valued at $1 million or more, sold in March.  Three of those sales were condos.  Sales were up 22% from February and 14% from March 2010.  Read article: http://www.bizjournals.com/denver/news/2011/04/12/denver-area-luxury-home-sales-rise.html    

Are Foreclosures in Colorado Dropping?

Steep drop for Colorado urban foreclosures – There’s good news on the foreclosure front for Colorado’s cities: Both foreclosure filings and sales were down sharply in February.  The latest monthly report from the state Division of Housing, released Wednesday, covers Colorado’s 12 largest counties.  It says that new foreclosure filings last month were down 34.7% from the same month of 2010, reaching a 30-month low, and were down 26.4% from January 2011.  Read article: http://www.bizjournals.com/denver/news/2011/03/16/steep-drop-for-colorado-urban.html 

Health of Real Estate in Colorado Goes Up

Health of real estate in Colorado goes from basement up – Commercial real estate markets in Colorado and elsewhere are healing faster than residential markets.  Home prices stabilized in many parts of the state and actually rose in Pueblo, Greeley, Denver and Boulder.  The homebuying market remains split between the high and low ends.  There are about three buyers for every home listed under $210,000.  But there are three homes for every buyer in the $500,000-plus range.  Read article: http://www.denverpost.com/business/ci_17534931
